New photos of the key characters of the film "Ono 2" decorated the covers of Entertainment Weekly magazine.

In an interview with EW, director Andy Musketti promised that the film would appeal to fans of the original.

I think everything that people liked in the first part – humor, emotions, horror – everything will be in the sequel. Sometimes in much larger quantities.

James McAvoy describes his character Bill, who became a writer in Hollywood, as "Stephen King's Avatar." About the rest of the characters, the actors do not tell: the film will have discrepancies with the book, so that the audience "Ono 2" will be able to surprise. The only exception is the librarian Mike, who remained in Derry while all the other heroes left the city. Only he remembers what happened to them in childhood. McAvoy comments on it like this:

When you leave Derry, something happens and you all forget. Perhaps this is the power of Penny in action. Because if everyone could remember that he creates every 27 years, we would decide – “hey, some kind of devilry is going on in Derry, we need to do something about it, we need to send an army there!

And Penny, this time smiling insincerely:

He is worse, more vicious. The film has a couple of very brutal scenes.

The film will be released on September 5, 2019. Watch his trailer.
