It seems that many developers and publishers were not ready for the public to see the prices for their games so low. Now there are almost no discounts on the Epic Games Store main page: they are valid at the time of purchase, but you will not see the proud “Detroit for 349 rubles”.
And that's not all: following Vampire the Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 from the store disappeared and Oxygen Not Included from the developers Don’t Starve, and exclusive for EGS Borderlands 3. That is, now its PC version cannot be purchased at all.
The creators of Hades from Supergiant Games got into an unpleasant story with EGS: they first have promisedthat will notify players in advance of a possible increase in the price of the game in the event of exit from Early Access, and then suddenly took and … increased the price of the game. As users noted, on Steam this would have been impossible, since the Valve service prohibits raising prices for games during sales.
Supergiant quickly thought better of it and returned the previous price to Hades – as explained by company representatives, they panicked about the sale and hurried with this decision. Now Hades will rise in price only on June 14, after the end of the action.
